June 2003. In the final month of their one-year stay in Fiji, independent filmmakers John and Janet Pearson, along with their two children, led a documentary production team. John has been screening free movies at the 180 Meridian cinema with 288 seats in the remote village of Natokalan on Taverny Island. Reality breaks into heaven: their home is stolen, local Catholic priests criticize John's plan, their daughter's behavior may threaten her friend's reputation, and John's irritable personality comes with it.
