可謂是阿斯泰爾對自己搖擺舞演藝事業的輕松調侃。遺憾在于故事松散，欠缺主要沖突，和缺少高潮，缺少將焦點人物逼入絕境只能二選一的高潮。男女主人公對于舞蹈形式分歧的解決過程過于輕松，甚至令人忽視了它的事件困境作用。奧斯卡黎凡特在《一個美國人在巴黎》中展示出的鋼琴技巧也沒有機會體現。一個充滿天賦的制作班底，本能成為令影片從合格到杰出的保證，但仿佛半開水似的故事結構實際令它看上去就像一座冰山，只有1/8的天賦露出了水面。

每每看歌舞片，都覺得眼花瞭亂，不知道眼睛往哪里放。
這可能是歌舞片劇情都比較簡單的原因吧。
這部1953年的《蓬車隊》，感覺上比《愛樂之城》好多了。
幾場舞都很震撼，無論是一開場在游樂場Hunt的踢踏舞，還是后面他們巡回演出的幾場：Sunrise，The Louiseanna Hayride，Girl Hunt，三胞胎，各有各的特色。而公園里Dancing in the darkness一曲，更見兩人的舞蹈功底，《愛樂之城》中A lovely night那段舞模仿這段“黑暗中的舞蹈”，相形之下，《愛樂》簡直是渣渣。
