劇情概要：
The disappearance of Sir Julius Humberly - and the theft of several of his erotic paintings - has solved a new mystery for Morse. With the assistance of DS Lewis, Morse interviewed all the people in the Humbury Building. In the process of searching for evidence, he found the body of Sir Julius in the family tomb. The pathologist pointed out that he was the victim of a crazy attack, but because there was no blood at the scene, the police concluded that he had been murdered elsewhere. Sir Julius was once a candidate for a master's degree at Oxford University and was famous for his fierce competition with another candidate. When Roger Meadows, a friend of the twins in Hambury, was killed in a car accident, Morse concluded that he was also murdered. Jealousy, revenge and greed are all causes of death.
