On the stage of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford on the Avon River, presenters David Tannett, Catherine Tate and Benedict Cumberbach, Judy Dench, Ian McClane, Sir Helen Mirren, Meera Syal, David Suchet, Rufus Wainwright, Tim Minchin, Gregory Porter, Joseph Fiennes, British National Opera House The Royal Ballet and Akara spent a very special night together. On the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, they jointly commemorated his life and works. This unique event, witnessed by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, aims to celebrate Shakespeare's extraordinary heritage and his lasting influence on all forms of performing arts, from opera to jazz, from dance to musicals.
