Kira Muratova showcased the small details of daily life in the Soviet Union, although they were mediocre and chilling. The dialogue is deliberately concise and meaningless, indicating that more and more people are unable to communicate and understand each other. The sound track (created by another underrated genius, Oleg Karavachuk) adds an atmosphere of despair and meaningless existence.
