我們可以看出

看完電影之后，我不在怨婦了。不再糾結自己不快樂的童年，抱怨父母不得當的教育方式，還有自己那所謂的心理陰影。是啊，為什么你不能擁有更好的生活，為什么你要擁有更好的生活?我之前是多么懦弱和膽怯的一個人啊。
看了心酸，悲催的生活，還好后面不喪，所以說一定要有錢啊，否則一文不值。知識改變命運啊，最后還是他自己寄出去的兩封信救了他自己。這位爸爸也真是……他兒子比他強一百倍！看完內心久久不能平靜，真是好片子！生活如此艱難，沉重的讓人喘不過氣來。但亞倫那種充滿希望與善良卻又是那么讓人感嘆，很難想象沒有食物把紙質的食物剪下來體面吃掉的態度
This film mainly describes the lives of the poor in the Great Depression when President Hover was still in office. Hundreds of thousands of citizens lived in suffering then. Basically, there are not too many climax or a whole consistent story in the film. It is more like the livelihood stories of a twelve-year-old boy Aaron Kurlander. He and his family was supposed to live in the St. Louis however they could not afford the living expense anymore. Aaron's mother was severely ill while his papa couldn't find a job. So his mother had to go to asylum for cure while his father has to send Aaron's younger brother to another relative's place and leave his little boy behind and went to another city for his new job. So Aaron has to find all ways to get food and continue his studies at school. Aaron is lucky to get a neighbour Lester (cast by Adrien Brody) who acts like his elder brother and to
