The story of a five year old rebellious girl named Vitka, her teenage cousin Larysa, and her boyfriend, the young criminal Scar, unfolds in a provincial setting in Ukraine. After her father passed away, Larysa found herself at a crossroads. The people in the village yearn for self creation and reject her because she likes' Scar '. Larysa discovered that her grandmother had sacrificed her love for a young gypsy, abandoning him for traditional values and the opinions of others. Larysa's mother is too mentally weak to support her daughter. Larysa and Scar plan to escape crime, misery, and the lives of their loved ones. But are they ready to pay the full price for freedom?
